Patterns and Poodles

Sometimes you end up in the right place at the right time. This happened to me on the internet last week. I was perusing J.Crew's sale pants and found these lovelies. They must have sold quick, because they are all gone now. These were originally listed for $298 I believe, but I snagged them up for a mere, you ready for this, $29! There's just too much to love about them!

Weekend Recap

This weekend was just what I needed. It was spent leisurely ambling about Beaufort and Bluffton. The early mornings were spent on the couch watching the Harry Potter marathon. There is nothing better when it's gloomy and stormy outside. Luckily the late afternoon burned the clouds away so we could enjoy an evening on the water.  A photo shoot on the boat would be incomplete without the classic prom pose. 

We eventually arrived at our destination, Skull Creak Boathouse, for dinner and drinks. Someone had the bright idea to order the "souvenir" cup.

So naturally we shared.

By the time our food arrived, I was rather full. But not to worry, I took one for the team and dove into my Tuna Rice Bowl which happened to be delicious.

We stayed and chatted with friends and family, it truly is a small world. I only wish it hadn't ended so quickly. I've since headed back to my parents for the week, but lookie what I found on the way.

Here's to another week! Let's hope it passes swiftly. 

Keep it Casual

If you know anything about me you know that I love a versatile dress. For me, it means I can wear it to clinicals or work and out later on with a switch of shoes or change of accessories. This dress from Target (couldn't find it online but it's Merona brand and in stores) is exactly the kind of dress I can't live without. It will also travel through the end of summer and into Autumn weather easily, just pop on a pair of boots and viola! Speaking of Autumn, I think it's safe to say that I am ready for it to arrive at any moment now. I'm yearning for some cold nights by a warm fire with blankets and plenty of snuggles.

Shorts Story

One of my favorite summer items from J.Crew is their shorts. They have an ample variety of colors and prints but they aren't so short as to show your cheeks. I don't know about you, but that's a difficult thing to find for me these days. I paired some of my favorite shorts with a happy neon tank for this outfit perfect for a boat day or romp in the park.
