Red Hot

6 comments:
I'm not sure if it's just the clothing I have up at my parents, but I've been noticing a great deal of red in my closet lately. Until about a year ago, I think I only owned one or two red items. It seems as though it's place in my wardrobe is only growing, and I don't quite mind it.

Stay tuned for more on this amazing cup next week.

I've mentioned a few times how ready I am for Fall and I've been browsing ASOS for some great finds I'm dying to get my hands on. Don't forget if you're a student, sign up with Student Universe for an extra 10% off your purchase!

Stripes + Linen

11 comments:
Linen is one of those fabrics that never goes out of style, especially in the south. This skirt is no exception. I plan on getting as much wear as possible out of it before the fall. I could practically live in if it were socially acceptable. And this striped top is just as great. I've featured it a few times before, but this just goes to show that I'm obsessed.

Weekend Recap

2 comments:
On Friday Jared and I headed to upstate Georgia to visit my sister and her husband. We arrived pretty late Friday night and poked around their house. Saturday we headed for some fun at the Panther Creek Trail. We tracked down a "local" trail that cuts the 5.5 miles into about 1 total. The views were phenomenal, but I don't think I have it in me to hike such treacherous terrains.

This was taken approximately one minute before she slipped and injured her bum quit bad. Fair warning to others planning on this hike, it's not easy.

We had planned on enjoying a quick swim, but due to certain circumstances we didn't.

After thoroughly wearing ourselves out, we headed to chow down on some barbecue. My sister told us that it was the best she'd ever had, and she was not mistaken. It was definitely worth the hour drive, but be warned that they are busy! The line was out the door when we arrived, but we did get a seat and some great food too.

After we filled out bellies to the brim, we drove to the lovely Three Sisters Vineyard for a wine tasting. They have a large selection, and we found it hard only choosing five or six to taste. After tasting, we chose a few bottles to bring home with us.

I also found a delectable champagne truffle that I absolutely had to try. I wouldn't have minded having a few more of those.

Just as we were heading back home for the evening, we found a game of KanJam on the lawn. We played a game or two over a bottle of wine before they closed.

The rest of the weekend was spent relaxing at the house before we made our way back east. We had such great time. I can't recommend the vineyard enough! If you find yourself in Dahlonega don't miss this spot!

While I'm anxiously awaiting the end of my rotation so I can move back home and see my husband every day, I must admit I'll miss this little park. It's the perfect spot for a casual evening stroll.

Mixing Prints

This pink and white pencil skirt is obviously a staple in the warmer months. I have searched high and low to find one similar but have failed so far. On a much brighter note, I have finally hopped on the mixed prints trend! We spent an afternoon in a beautiful park in Aiken, and while shopping in the area I picked up the local Aiken Horse paper. It's full of gorgeous pictures and some interesting equine information.

What's in a name?

3 comments:
I have recently been flirting with the idea of changing my little ol' blog's name. Before making the decision however, I wanted to get some input from the most important people, my readers. I've never been over the moon for my current name, but I couldn't quite find anything better at the time. I have since thought of a quite different name that I am actually really excited about. I'm thinking of changing it to "The Fetching Fox," but first I would love to your opinions. One of the main reasons I'm considering a change is that my current name doesn't roll off the tongue very well, but the new one I think is rather catchy. So what do you think about it?
