I can't wait to try this coffee. It looks delicious!

I couldn't live without these spin pins. They are a gift from God to those of us who have fine hair. These babies keep everything in one place all day long!

Three
I must try this tart, ASAP. Maybe I'll give it a try this weekend?

Four
While we're on the topic of dessert, how yummy does this look? It claims to be low-cal which is perfect for summer months and swimsuits!

Five
I want this hat. Is that too much to ask? It would be a great accessory on my upcoming trip.

This romper, or playsuit as those across the pond say, is the perfect piece for a summer night out. It's romantic chiffon floral print is the perfect contrast to its plunging neckline and cutouts. Its sweet yet sexy all at the same time.

Memorial Day Weekend

Friday afternoon we made an impromptu decision to visit the mountains of North Carolina for the weekend. After work we fueled up and headed off to cooler weather.

After arriving, we settled into our cozy room. My in-laws have an amazing view of the mountains. It's so peaceful and serene.

Bright and early the next morning, my mother-in-law and I took the pups out on the trails. We hiked the Boone Fork Trail which is a total 5 mile circle with gorgeous views and several small waterfalls.

Almost three hours later, tired and hungry, we headed to the local Mexican restaurant for drinks and eats. This may have been the best burrito I've ever had (fajita burrito: grilled peppers, onions, tomatoes, and chicken wrapped in a tortilla covered with cheese).

Later that evening, we headed out to The Best Cellar for dinner. The service was rather slow, but the food was particularly delicious. I started the evening with their special Gimlet, then enjoyed a caesar salad, and the veal special of the night. It was most definitely the tastiest veal I've eaten at any restaurant (my dad makes rather delicious veal and his is always the best).

A great meal is never complete without a great dessert. My go-to is always the creme brûlée. This one had an added hint of coffee which was the perfect addition to perk me up after our long hike that day.

Of course I couldn't go without tasting their Chocolate Torte either. It was good, but I'm always partial to creme brûlée.

Sunday we headed to a "classified" fishing spot in the middle of nowhere so the boys could do some fly fishing. It's not quite as secret as we thought. We saw several fish, but the boys didn't catch any. I did get some great pictures from the place.

We dined at the New Public House that evening and it did not disappoint. They have a fantastic take on quail that you must not miss if you're in the area.

Monday morning we headed out to rent kayaks. The view from this lake is simply awe-inspiring.

We ended our morning with an early Barbecue lunch before loading up and heading home. This little nugget was all tuckered out.

These necklaces | I absolutely love this pairing of necklaces. They are dainty and elegant, which I prefer over big and chunky.

This view | I just love every little thing about this photo. Fabulous dress, gorgeous view, and of course the little dog just takes the cake.

This Romper | I told y'all yesterday that I'm so in love with this fun romper. It's only fitting that it make Five on Friday right?

English Warf Flats | If there was one thing I would change about my future profession it would be closed toed shoes. I adore these flats from Anthro. If only they could go to work with me!

The Mat | We are very content with these mats for power yoga. I definitely think they are worth the price if you're planning on taking up hot yoga. Check back next week for a complete review!

Lilly Nilly

This happy romper is my absolute favorite piece from Lilly Pulitzer this summer. It could be dressed up a bit more for a date night or thrown on willy nilly after a long day at the beach. I'm also excitied to introduce my new Flea Bag milk tote. My ultimate dream is to attain their Original Flea Bag, but for now I'm happy with this fabulous tote. All of their products are made in the New York by hand. They are also all limited edition which is something I love about them. I always like to have something a little different from the rest, and these bags are it.
